Integrated Learning

Smart Wheel Chair

To help the physically challenged, students designed a wheelchair using 3D Printing and made it smart using IoT concepts. While building the application, some of the academic concepts they understood were Reflection of Light, Gear ratio,Conductivity, Electromagnetism, Speed, Distance, dimensions, and measurements.

Smart Dustbin

To build a waste management system, students built a Smart Dustbin which opens only when there is space in it. The dustbin remains closed if it's full and using IoT, it sends a message to the management team so they can empty the bin. This is achieved using some simple sensors and python programming.

Smart Hand Sanitizer

After the covid situation, students wanted to build an Automatic Hand Sanitizer Dispenser. Integrating knowledge about gears from Robotics, sensors from IoT and modelling from 3D Printing , a Smart Hand Sanitizer Dispenser was made.

Train Ramp for Handicap

Students Created a Smart Train Ramp to help the Disabled board the train without problems. While finding a solution, they thought about the angle of rotation using the robotics concept, motion sensors and an alert system using IoT to make a Smart Train Ramp for Disabled people.

Internet of Things

Learning basics of sensors

Students are exploring the Grok Kit where they are learning about different components such as ports, GPIO pins, camera slot, SD card support, RAM and ROM etc.

Learning Circuit Design & Block Programming

Circuit designing is exciting for students as they learn to connect different components together to form a working circuit and perform Block programming without requiring the knowledge of coding to communicate with the processor.

Automatic Door Opener

Traditional Doors require manpower and it comes with fixed cost, each month. To eliminate manpower & make the door tech-enabled, Students made Automatic Door System. Using concepts like distance, speed, Ohms law, the door runs on an IR sensor for detecting a person in front and opens automatically.

Smart Agriculture

Watering plants in fields at proper timing has been an issue where the students have made an attempt to solve the problem. Student’s made Moisture sensor IoT-based monitoring application which can sense the moisture in soil and water crops accordingly. With IoT, farmers can get information of watering the plants on their smartphones & control the water pump remotely.

3D printing and Product Designing

3D Learning Software

Students are using concepts such as Number System system, Coordinate system, Axis of Symmetry, Pythagoras theorem and implementing them in a 3D software to create objects.

Learning 3D printing

Students are gaining knowledge about material science & implementing academic concepts of physics such as thermodynamics, elasticity, density, properties of materials and polymers to create real world 3D objects.

Explaining 3D printing

Students are explaining the end to end process of 3D printing along with knowledge of materials such as TPU, PLA and Carbon Fibre.

Created 3D printed Models

Students used mathematics along with physics concepts to easily create complex objects that can solve real world problems.

Robotics

Windmill

With the help of the Windmill model, students are able to understand the concepts of a gear mechanism, force/motion, renewable energy, potential energy, kinetic energy and transformation of energy.

Sissor Lift

In areas where electricity is not available or using Cranes isn’t possible, Scissor Lift based on Pneumatics can be the best option. Students learnt concepts such as Area, Behaviour of Gases, Force and Levers combined with Air Pump to make a Scissor Lift that can work in conditions where no other option is available.

Robotic Arm

While doing a monotonous simple task, humans usually get bored, distracted and tired. To maintain efficiency and increase productivity, students made a Robotic Arm, using concepts such as area, Friction, the behaviour of gases and different gear systems. For simple repetitive tasks such as Pick and Place applications, Robotic Arm could be a very good choice

Line Following Bot

In industries & warehouses where there is a need to do the same task following a fixed path every time, humans can be easily replaced by robots. Keeping this in mind, students made a Line Following Bot which can perform monotonous tasks following a fixed path using gears, distance/speed calculations, Spatial Geometry and Sensors.
