Robotics

Robotics is about creating/ building mechanical structures that can perform tasks (Like sweeping the streets of Delhi or picking up loads more efficiently).

The new World Robotics 2020 Industrial Robots report shows a record of 2.7 million industrial robots operating in factories around the world. And in 2022 584,000 robots will be shipped to various parts of earth. This shows a growing need for people who are trained in robotics.

Our Robotics Level 1(Simple Machine) course helps the child embark on a journey of exploring how to create and build robots that reinforce and apply concepts that he/ she has learnt in school whether it be simple machines, force and motion, while also looking at renewables.

By learning and practicing a 5-step process of logical problem-solving using technology, she will be able to go beyond what she is learning now and be empowered to deal with a variety of situations. She will also develop a hands-on approach sorely lacking in most schools today. It is almost as if she will jumpstart her education and future afresh.

 Academic Connect

  • Laws of Physics – Force, torque, mechanical advantage, work done, Newton’s first law (transformation of energy), Potential energy, Kinetic energy and Pneumatics
  • Mathematical concepts – Ratio, angle (of blades to get maximum air movement), surface area etc.
Robotics applications
  • They will learn to develop 6 to 8 real life applications such as Click Clock, Wind mill, Hydro power, solar power, Sail boat using gears, pulleys & levers

Robotics Level 2

Our Robotics Level 2 course helps the student build on the foundation of robotics created with Robotics 1. They will explore further on making robots capable of more complex actions. They will be able to program the robot to detect an object ahead, follow a path, plot a path through a maze and remember it, etc and possibilities of action beyond that. These robots have real world uses.

By practicing the 5-step process of logical problem-solving using technology, she will be able to go beyond what she is learning now and be empowered to deal with a variety of situations. While knowledge and practice of robotics will take you forward, robotics along with IOT provides an unbeatable combination.
Academic Connect

  • Sound, Distance and speed calculations, 3 dimensional movement / displacement hence velocity/ acceleration, Right hand rule of torque and angular momentum – gyroscopic movement

Robotics Applications

  • They will learn to develop 6 to 8 real life applications such as line following robots, maze solver, a robot that remembers the way, a live streaming robot and even a gesture-controlled robot
